PARKER ADVANCED BAND KICKS OFF W.H.S. HOMECOMING PARADE

On Saturday, September 29th at 10:00 a.m. the Parker Elementary Advanced Band, under the direction of Lloyd Hughes, kicked off an exciting Westbury Homecoming Parade at Westbury Park.  The Parker Advanced Band of 70+ enthusiastic musicians played for the large cheering crowd gathered along the parade route. Among the crowd was Parker Elementary's principal Cappy Selig who was just as proud of the young musicians as their parents, saying, "Our Advanced Band students have been practicing hard since the start of school. Mr. Hughes's guidance of these students' musical talents is just phenomenal.   We can't wait to hear them at their next public concert in December!"  No one else can either.
